Admissions
Before Applying:
To apply for this master’s program, you need a bachelor’s degree (usually in speech and hearing sciences or communication sciences and disorders) with at least a 3.0 GPA from a college or university. You also need to have passed certain undergrad classes with at least a C grade. If your degree isn’t in this field and you haven’t taken those classes, you’ll need to finish them before or while taking your graduate classes.

Program Prerequisites:
Students need to pass certain undergrad classes with at least a C grade. If you didn’t major in this field and haven’t taken those classes yet, you’ll need to complete them either before or at the same time as your graduate classes.

Application Review:
- The best consideration date is February 1st, with applications considered until the cohort is full on May 30th. For International Students, the deadline is December 1st.
Application Preparation:
All materials are submitted through CSDCAS.
Application Materials:
- Official Transcripts
- Complete the prerequisites section
- Three (3) letters of reference Submit through CSDCAS’s recommender portal.
- Complete the program-specific questions
- Personal Statement
- Written statement or a video response
- International applicants must follow application procedures within CSDCAS.
Qualified Applicants:
- Qualified applicants will participate in an interview.
- Scheduling will be determined by the Program.
- Selected applicants for admission will be required to complete the IU Slate supplementary application.
Application Scoring:
Applications are reviewed based on cumulative GPA of last 60 credit hours, pre-requisite GPA, writing sample, in-person/virtual interview, and letters of recommendation.
