Welcome

The IUSB Elkhart Speech-Language Clinic opened its doors to the community in August 2021. We are a donation-based teaching clinic located within the IUSB Elkhart Center in Elkhart, IN. We currently offer select speech-language pathology services to children and adults during the fall and spring university semesters. All clients undergo evaluation and/or treatment by graduate clinicians in the MS-SLP program, and care is supervised by licensed and certified Speech-Language Pathologists. Services include evaluation and treatment directed toward improving skills for individuals of all ages, including:

  • Speech Articulation
  • Language
  • Fluency and Stuttering
  • Voice and Resonance
    • including vocal congruence training
  • Speech, Language, and Cognition due to stroke, trauma, or other neurological diagnoses
  • Pediatric Feeding and Swallowing
  • Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC)
  • Pragmatics (Social Communication)

We also offer select group opportunities in partnership with the community. Group opportunities vary by semester, contact us for more information!

Community Conscious

In addition to our on-campus clinic, Indiana University South Bend’s Master of Science in Speech-Language Pathology program (IUSB MS-SLP) partners with local organizations to provide hands-on clinical experiences throughout the program. Many practicum experiences take place in community settings, giving students valuable, real-world opportunities to build essential skills. We are grateful to our community partners.
