Sharon M. Jones, PhD, RN, CNE is an Associate Professor of Nursing in the School of Nursing and teaches Medical-Surgical lecture and clinical courses as well as Nursing Research. She graduated with her Associate Degree in Nursing from College of DuPage, BSN and MSN (Nursing Education) degrees from Ferris State University, and a PhD in Nursing from Loyola University Chicago. Her areas of research are the nurse-patient relationship, trust, Hispanic population, cultural competence, and clinical education. She enjoys sharing her passion for nursing and research with her students. She is an active member in several professional nursing organizations including Alpha Chapter of Sigma Theta Tau International Honor Society of Nursing (STTI), Midwest Nursing Research Society (MNRS), and Transcultural Nursing Society (TCNS).
