MSN Application Procedure

The application cycle is open from July 1st to August 31st

Accepted students will be notified by Thanksgiving. Orientation is the first Friday in December. Classes begin in January.

To accurately complete the application and facilitate smooth and timely processing, please make sure all of the following requested information is submitted:

• First submit your application online through the Office of Admissions

Checklist for Packet - (All items below must be submitted in your packet)

Packets must be complete at time of submission or will be rejected.

• Essential Ability Form
• RN Affidavit Form
• Drug Testing Permission Form
• Copy of current, active, unencumbered Indiana RN licensure
• Official transcripts from all post-secondary coursework, excluding Indiana University South Bend
• Criminal background completed per instructions on Indiana University South Bend website (you should have completed the appropriate steps so we can receive a copy of the criminal background check)
• ESL students: TOEFL score as required by the Indiana University South Bend office of International Admissions. You can check online at https://iusb.edu/oiss/admissions/explore/toefl.php
• International Students: appropriate identification and immigration status documents submitted with application
• The application fees must be paid at the time of application submission
• Essay attached to application
• An interview may be required if the qualified applicant pool exceeds the maximum number of students the program is able to accept for a class cohort.Paper copy of your graduate application.
• Official transcripts (including any Indiana University transcripts)
• Paper copy of your graduate application
• Three professional references with one from a current manager (Use the Graduate Reference Forms below, NOT the electronic version on the IUSB Graduate School Admissions application.) Please submit with the application in sealed, signed envelopes.
• Current Resume
• Proof of health insurance
