Jennifer Guriel, MS, MLS(ASCP)CM. With over two decades of progressive experience in clinical laboratory science, higher education, and regulatory compliance, Jennifer Guriel is a credentialed Medical Laboratory Scientist (ASCP) known for leadership excellence, operational efficiency, and unwavering dedication to patient care and academic advancement. Previously serving as the Program Director for the Medical Lab Technology Program at Ivy Tech, Jennifer has successfully guided the program through NAACLS accreditation, developed dynamic curricula, and strengthened clinical partnerships.
Prior to leading academic programs, She spent 17 years at Saint Joseph Regional Medical Center as both a frontline Medical Lab Scientist, Chemistry Supervisor, and Microbiologist. In this role, she was instrumental in enhancing quality control systems, integrating lab information system technology, and mentoring the next generation of laboratory professionals. Her clinical expertise spans, microbiology, hematology, immunohematology, chemistry and molecular diagnostics.
A dedicated educator, Jennifer has developed and taught numerous MLT courses-- both in-person and online. She also works remotely as a course developer and a textbook reviewer for F.A. Davis. In addition, she actively supports STEM recruitment, student success initiatives, and professional accreditation efforts.
Holding a Master's of Science in Higher Education with a focus in college administration and leadership from Purdue University Global, Jennifer combines scientific acumen with strategic institutional insight. Her academic background is complemented by degrees in Business Administration, Liberal Studies and certification as a Medical Laboratory Scientist (ASCP)cm.
Beyond the lab and classroom, Jennifer also promotes community wellness as a certified fitness instructor, leading water aerobics classes at LifePlex Fitness Forum in Plymouth, Indiana.
