
Danielle DeYoung, MPA joined the “Dwyer School of Health Sciences” as the Graduate Advisor for the College of Professional Studies in August 2026. She earned her B.S. in Psychology from Trine University. She is also a proud recent graduate of the Master of Public Affairs program at IU South Bend. Danielle has worked at IU South Bend since 2023, first as a success coach with first-year students and then as the Assistant Director of Graduate Business Programs with the Judd Leighton School of Business Economics before moving into the Graduate Advisor role.
She cares deeply about creating spaces where students feel valued, safe, seen, and empowered, and where their needs are met so that they can succeed academically. Before coming to IU South Bend, she spent several years working in community mental health settings. Outside of work, Danielle enjoys spending time in nature with her spouse and delightfully mischievous dogs, as well as playing board games and watching women’s basketball.
