Cristen Austin, BSDH, RDH is a Clinical Assistant Professor at Indiana University South Bend, where she also serves as the Radiology Coordinator. She earned her Bachelor of Science in Dental Hygiene with highest distinction from IUSB in 2015.
Cristen has experience working clinically in a general family practice and was an adjunct faculty member at IUSB for three years before transitioning to a full-time role in 2024. As a faculty member, she teaches courses across all levels of the Dental Hygiene program,
with a special focus on radiology. She is dedicated to supporting students as they develop the skills needed for success in both clinical and academic settings.
Outside of teaching, Cristen enjoys spending time with family and friends, reading, and enjoying the outdoors. Her enthusiasm for life and education is evident in everything she does, and she strives to inspire others to approach challenges with a positive mindset.
