Dr. Wendi Buckley, OTD, MS, OTR is an Assistant Professor in the Vera Z. Dwyer College, School of Rehabilitation Sciences. Dr. Buckley received her Bachelor of Science in Gerontology from the University of South Florida, Master of Science in Occupational Therapy from Rush University, and her Post-Professional Doctorate degree from Baylor University. Dr. Buckley is a highly experienced occupational therapist who has practiced in a variety of practice settings including adult acute care, acute rehabilitation, home health and early intervention. Most of her career has been in school-based practice with specialty areas in Assistive Technology and Autism. Research interests include nature-based practice and assistive technology. Dr. Buckley is passionate about teaching students using problem-based and reflective learning approaches. She continues to practice in several settings, so she brings current, relevant, experiential learning to the classroom. When she’s not teaching, Dr. Buckley loves traveling with her family, watching sports, and spending time with her horse and dog.
