Marlene Wenta, BS, MA, ACSM-CEP has a Master’s of Physical Education degree with a concentration in Exercise Science from Central Michigan University. After completing her Bachelor’s degree in Health Fitness for Preventive and Rehabilitative Programs from CMU, Marlene spent nearly ten years as a practicing ACSM certified Clinical Exercise Physiologist in a variety of health care settings and capacities before transitioning into academia. Marlene has taught courses in Exercise Physiology and Nutrition, and particularly enjoys teaching courses related to the diagnosis, prevention, and treatment of cardiorespiratory diseases.
Marlene is an avid runner and triathlete, completing numerous marathons, including the Boston Marathon. Her favorite activity, though, is spending time traveling and hiking with her three boys, Eli, Emmitt, and Griffin.
