Please review the slide show presentation orienting you to the pre-requisites for the dental hygiene program as a pre-dental hygiene major. It is very important to stay connected and on top of your studies while pursuing this degree program. Staying on sequence with your courses by doing well in them is the key to success.

All students will take at least two years of pre-requisite courses prior to applying to the two year professional program.  The knowledge within the dental hygiene program builds on the pre-requisite courses.  It is very important students really grasp what they are learning in these courses. All students will take courses in the following areas:

  • Biomedical Sciences
  • General Education (see IUSB General Education for more information) Communications
  • Social Sciences
  • Fundamental Literacies
  • Common Core (one must be at the 390/399 level)
  • Contemporary Social Values
